1. We refer to your application for admission to Tamale College of Education and inform you of the offer of admission
to pursue a 4-year B.ED JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION programme starting from the 2024/2025
academic year.
2. This offer of admission is for the 2024/2025 academic year only (cannot be deferred) and based on available
information that you have satisfied the entry requirement for the programme stated above. Your place will be offered
to another candidate on the waiting list if you do not indicate your acceptance.
3. You are to note that the College reserves the right to revoke this admission offer should we discover later that you
do not, in fact, possess the qualifications by virtue of which you have been offered admission to pursue this
programme. You will also be held personally liable for any false statement or omission made on your application
form.
5. You will be on probation for the full duration of your programme. Satisfactory academic work and good conduct are
required for your continued stay on the B.ED JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION. You will be required to
adhere to all College rules and regulations including those contained in the Students Handbook and the Academic
Policies, Rules and Regulations, copies of which will be made available to you during orientation.
6. You will be required to undergo a medical examination to ascertain if you are medically fit to pursue the
programmme of study.
7. It should be noted that the College does not award scholarships to students.
8. You are required to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE Fee of Three Thousand, Five Hundred and Eighty-nine
Ghana Cedis, Eighty-One Pesewas (GH¢3,589.81).
9. Payment should be made at any ADB branch nationwide through trans-flow on or before Friday, October 18,
2024. Kindly use your Application Reference Number as your Student ID Number for payment. Application

10. Additionally, you are required to pay a Residential Facilities User Fee of Five Hundred Ghana Cedis
(GH¢500.00), and a contribution of Thirty Ghana Cedis (GH¢30.00) towards the Teacher Trainees Association of
Ghana (TTAG) National Office Project, all payable to the Tamale College of Education ADB accounts nationwide
through trans-flow. Using your Application Reference Number: 2424588
11. You are to take note that the fees do not include Examination Fees. You will be required to pay Examination Fees
directly to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) every semester. The details of this
Examination Fee will be communicated to you later, after matriculation.
12. All fresh students will be matriculated soon after re-opening. You should note carefully that your admission will
be withdrawn if you fail to take part in the matriculation.
13. Tentatively, the College re-opens on Monday, November 18th, 2024. Check for your Hall of affiliation at the
College on the re-opening date.
13. Kindly note that you are required to register for your courses at the beginning of each semester for the entire
duration of your programme.

ADMISSION TO TAMALE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

I have the pleasure of informing you that you have been offered admission to pursue a Four (4) Year Programme in this College.

You are expected to pay a provisional admission fee of Three Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty-One Ghana Cedis and Fifty pesewas, GH₵ 3,451.50. Payment should be made at any ADB branch nationwide by transflow using your Application Reference Number 

Submit payment slips to the college to go through the registration process.

If you fail to pay the specified fees in full on or before 22nd December 2023, your place will be forfeited for other deserving applicants on the waiting list.

Please note that if it is discovered subsequently that you do not possess the qualifications by virtue of which you have been offered admission to the College, you will be withdrawn and made to face any appropriate sanctions. The original copies of your certificate(s) and other supporting document (s) will be inspected to complete your registration.

Attached is a Kit List and you should arrange to buy all the items listed before you report to the College. Also attached is an Acceptance Form for you to complete and return to the College as soon as possible.

Completion of the Acceptance Form is an indication that you are ready to obey all College Rules and Regulations which have been included in the Student’s Handbook.

Should you decide to withdraw from the College before the third week of registration, the College shall refund your fees to you less 30% of the total amount payable, to be retained as administrative charges. Beyond this date, NO REFUND shall be made.

An orientation programme (compulsory) would be organized for newly admitted students. The date for the programme will be communicated to you by the College.

Students should make their own arrangements to register for a Ghana Card Number and also obtain an E-Zwich Card from any recognized Bank.

You are expected to report to the College on 15th January 2024 at 5:00 pm to go through Registration formalities with the Dean of Student Affairs.
