Tamale College of Education: Leading Institution for Training Professional Teachers
Tamale College of Education - TACE was opened in 1958 with the motto 'Ora et Labora' by the first president of the Republic of Ghana. Sixty female pioneer students were enrolled in the college that year, and it remained a female institution until 1977. The College has the vision to become a leading institution for the professional training of well disciplined, dedicated and academically qualified teachers for Ghana.
Vision and Mission
The vision of TACE is to be A university college of international distinction in research and teaching that produces graduate professional teachers imbued with the passion to create an enabling environment for every learner. Mission The mission of TACE is To equip trainees with the requisite competencies and 21st-century skills to facilitate teaching, learning, research and service to community at pre-tertiary institutions. This will enable students to acquire high moral values for further studies and lifelong learning.
